All you have to do is go to your Windows Control Panel and Repair the installation of QuickBooks Point of Sale QuickBooks2.jpg QuickBooks Point of Sale

Windows 7

Notes: You may need to have your Point of Sale installation CD available to complete the steps below.

  1. 1) Click the Windows Start button and click Control Panel.
  2. 2) Click Programs and Features.
  3. 3) Select your version of Point of Sale and click Repair.
    • Note: If a security warning appears, click Yes.
  4. 4) After Windows is done configuring Point of Sale, the repair is complete.
  5. 5) Close the control panel and open Point of Sale.

Windows Vista

Notes: You may need to have your Point of Sale installation CD available to complete the steps below.

  1. 1) Close Point of Sale if it is running.
  2. 2) Click the Windows Logo button, and click Control Panel.
  3. 3) Double-click Programs and Features.
  4. 4) Select your version of Point of Sale and click Uninstall/Change.
  5. 5) Click Next on the first InstallShield Wizard window and then ensure that Install is selected.
  6. 6) Click Install and insert your Point of Sale installation CD in the CD-ROM drive if requested by the repair process.
  7. 7) Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the repair process.
  8. 8) When the repair process completes, open Point of Sale.

Windows XP

Notes: You may need to have your Point of Sale installation CD available to complete the steps below.

  1. 1) Close Point of Sale if it is running.
  2. 2) Click the Windows Start button, and select Run.
  3. 3) Enter control in the Open field and click OK.
  4. 4) Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
  5. 5) Select your version of Point of Sale and click Change.
  6. 6) Click Next on the first window and then be sure Install is selected.
  7. 7) Click Install and, if prompted, insert your Point of Sale CD.
  8. 8) When the repair process completes, open Point of Sale.
