QuickBooks™ Point Of Sale: Uninstall and reinstall the Zebra 2824 tag and label printer

You can use Microsoft Windows to uninstall the Zebra 2824 tag and label printer, and Point of Sale to reinstall it. Refer to The Download center Download center for the currently tested drivers. Detailed Instructions

Windows XP

Note: You must have your Point of Sale installation CD to reinstall the Zebra printer.To remove or uninstall the Zebra 2824 printer:

  1. 1) Click the Windows Start button and choose Run. Enter control in the Open field and click OK.
  2. 2) Double-clickPrinters and Faxes.
  3. 3) Right-click theZebra LP2824and chooseDelete. Confirm the deletion.
  4. 4) Choose File > Server Properties.
  5. 5) Click theDrivers tab and select the Zebra printer.
  6. 6) ClickRemoveand confirm the removal.
  7. 7) Close all windows.

To reinstall the Zebra 2824 printer:
  • 1) In Point of Sale, choose Edit > Preferences > Workstation(In Version 10
  • 2) SelectDocuments & Printers and click Hardware Setup Wizard.
  • 3) SelectTag Printerin the left side and then select A new supported tag printer.
  • 4) Click Nextand select the appropriate Zebra 2824, depending on whether it is a USB or Parallel unit.
  • 5) ClickNextand follow the on-screen instructions to install your printer.

Windows Vista

Note:You must have your Point of Sale installation CD to reinstall the Zebra printer.To remove or uninstall the Zebra 2824 printer:

  1. 1) Click the Microsoft Windows Logo button and choose Control Panel.
  2. 2) Unless already selected, click Classic View in the left side of the window.
  3. 3) Double-click Printers.
  4. 4) Right-click the Zebra LP2824 and choose Delete. Confirm the deletion.
  5. 5) Right-click any blank area in the Printers window and choose Run as administrator > Server Properties.
  6. 6) Click Continue on the User Account Control window if it appears.
  7. 7) Click the Drivers tab and select the Zebra printer.
  8. 8) Click Remove and confirm the removal.
  9. Close all windows.

To reinstall the Zebra 2824 printer:
  1. 1) In Point of Sale, choose Edit > Preferences > Workstation (In Version 10 choose File > Preferences >Workstation).
  2. 2) Select Documents & Printers and click Hardware Setup Wizard.

  3. 3) Click Devices and Printers.
  4. 4) Right-click the Zebra LP2824 and choose Remove device. Confirm the removal.
  5. 5) Click Print server properties.
  6. 6) Click the Drivers tab and select the Zebra printer.
  7. 7) Click Remove and confirm the removal.
  8. 8) Close all windows.
