Error initializing QuickBooks™ Point of Sale application log

In QuickBooks™ Point of Sale v 2013, there is an error that reads:

“Error initializing QuickBooks™ Point of Sale application log. If this happens…please contact Technical Support”
How it can be fixed is:
  1. 1) Press the CTRL + ALT + DEL keys and select Start Task Manager.
  2. 2) Click the Processes tab, select QuickBooks™ POSShell.exe and then click End Process.
  3. 3) Right-click the Start button and then chooseOpen Windows Explorer.
  4. 4) Click Organize and then choose Folder and Search Options.
  5. 5) Click the View tab, select Show hidden files and folders and then click OK.
  6. 6)In the left window, click Computer and go to: C:\Users\{User logged on}\AppData\Local\Intuit\QBPOSShell.exe…\{last modified folder}
  7. 7)Press the CTRL + A keys to select all the files in the folder and then press Delete.
  8. 8)Close the window and open Point of Sale.
